This proposal outlines the engineering, fabrication, and supply of premium architectural tensile membrane structures for the Manila Landmark Shopping Mall. The project comprises two primary architectural features with a combined structural steel weight of 26.8 Metric Tons: a grand cantilevered arched entry canopy and a linear exterior facade corridor canopy.
Designed specifically to withstand the typhoon-prone climate of Manila, the entire system utilizes a 100% bolted connection mechanism for rapid, high-precision onsite installation without the need for field welding.
To ensure the highest structural integrity and to combat the saline, humid atmosphere of Manila, all steel-to-steel and steel-to-concrete joints are designed as pre-engineered bolted connections using high-strength Grade 8.8/10.9 hot-dip galvanized bolts. This eliminates onsite welding, preserves the factory-applied anti-corrosion coating, and guarantees precise load distribution.
