Project Description
Completed in May 2026, the Boluo Park Landscaping Tensile Structure is a flagship example of modern biophilic public shade architecture. Designed to mimic white flower petals blooming under the open sky, this custom tensile canopy transforms a standard public rest area into an eye-catching landmark.
The design utilizes a three-unit modular cluster at staggered heights (ranging from 3.5m to 7.0m). The contrast between the bright white PVDF membrane and the vivid yellow structural central steel columns brings a fresh, vibrant aesthetic to the park's natural surroundings.
- Organic Biophilic Aesthetics: Inspired by nature, the inverted trumpet geometry provides wide overhead shade coverage while minimizing ground footprint through a single central support post per module.
- Premium Architectural PVDF Fabric: The canopy uses high-grade PVDF membrane fabric offering 100% waterproofing, heavy-duty UV blocking, class-B1 fire retardancy, and a rain-activated self-cleaning surface for ultra-low maintenance.
- Integrated Internal Drainage: Rainwater collected by the funneled petal surfaces flows naturally into the central support column and discharges at the base, ensuring a drip-free perimeter for park visitors.
- All-Weather Structural Stability: Designed to withstand heavy rainstorms, high summer temperatures, and local coastal wind loads without compromising fabric tension.
